Dear Heidelberg Alumni,

Please join us on our first HAUS hike on

Saturday June 8, 2013

in

 Cold Spring, NY

http://coldspring.com/

Instead of hiking the Königsstuhl and looking down on the Neckar, we will hike Mount Taurus which offers beautiful views of the Hudson River and Valley. The hike will take about three hours at an easy to moderate level with the option of a more strenuous descent. Please see the link with a detailed description of the trail  http://www.planputnam.org/highlands/tourism/hikes/taurus.htm

After the hike we will stop for refreshments in one of Cold Springs’ many restaurants.

Meeting in Manhattan: Meet us at the Information booth at Grand Central at 8:30 am. The train leaves at 8:44 am. Round trip ticket is $26.50.

Meeting in Cold Springs: Meet us in front the Restaurant Cold Spring Depot at 10:00 am http://www.coldspringdepot.com/ordereze/Directions.aspx

Please bring water and a snack/sandwich for the trail and wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes. In case of rain the hike will be cancelled.

Please RSVP by June 3 at info@HeidelbergUniversity.org

We look forward to seeing you all there!
