Dear Heidelberger Alumni in the Philadelphia Chapter and Alumni in Washington DC and New York Areas Who Are Not Afraid to Travel:

Let’s get together! Trees are blossoming and although the temperature dropped again
there is hope that the winter (have you experienced much winter this year?) is over. It’s
time to get out of the house and enjoy the spring! One of the best places to feel, see
and smell the season is Longwood Gardens ( ).
Located about 3 miles northeast of Kenneth Square on US Route 1 it became my
favorite destination short after I moved to this country almost 9 years ago.
We hope that you are not booked yet on Saturday, April 21st, 2012, 1PM and would
like to meet for a stroll and casual conversation in English or German (coffee and
snacks are also an option since Longwood has a cafeteria). We will meet at the
entrance door.
1001 Longwood Rd, Kennett Square, PA 19348 (for directions, please go to: )
Tickets are available at the entrance or online
( I will be wearing (or holding in my
hand, should it still be cold) a T-shirt from the Universität Heidelberg, so those of you
who haven’t met us can spot us right away.
At this time of the year in Longwood there are probably as many tulips as in Holland, but
you don’t need to fly to Europe to see them!
Please RSVP by April 18th at:
Looking forward to seeing you!

Chair, Regional Chapter Philadelphia
