Invitation

HAUS Regional Chapter New York – Movie Night

Dear Heidelberg Alumni and Friends,

Please come and join us at Heidelberg Alumni U.S. (HAUS) New York’s next event.

Movie night: “One, Two, Three” by Billy Wilder

Wednesday, June 15, 2011, 6:30 PM

at the Goethe Institut

72 Spring Street, 11th floor
New York, NY 10012

The hilarious American comedy takes place in 1961 just before the Berlin Wall was built. Directed by Billy Wilder, it features stars like James Cagney, Horst Buchholz and Liselotte Pulver. Even though the cold war and the divided city served as serious backdrop for the movie, Wilder managed to create one of the funniest comedies of its time. Scarlett, the daughter of the American Coca Cola CEO falls for a passionate East German communist while visiting with West Berlin’s Coca Cola manager. The ensuing political and social complications ensure two hours of great entertainment while highlighting the difficult political times in Berlin exactly 50 years ago.

Please RSVP by Friday, June 10, to info@heidelberguniversity.org
